ÁRBORG
One morning, Charles suddenly abandons his remote home in the mountains to escape from a suffocating situation in which he feels paralysed due to many family problems. After some years he returns without warning, called back by his sister Lily who, spurred by longing, draws him home on a pretext. His sincere affection for Lily, and perhaps a sense of guilt, lead him to attempt to reestablish a dialogue with his brothers, Georges and Lucas. Yet while his mother and sister welcome him with relief, the chronic nature of the situation and the strong sense of responsibility that his brothers feel on their shoulders lead them to dump onto Charles the burden of failure of their own aspirations. The cold winter and driving soundtrack frame the crescendo of arguments and conflicts, leading to a dramatic, but resolutive, ending.
