Hadamo

Jotuomba is a ghost town where time seems to stand still. Every morning, Maddalena kneads and cooks the bread for Antonio’s store. To bring it there, she walks along the tracks where no train has passed for years, and then cleans the gate of the cemetery where no one is permitted to enter. She listens to the sermon in the small church and shares a meal with the other elderly residents of the village. The repetitiveness of these daily rituals is upended by the arrival of Rita, a young, traveling photographer. Initially things are difficult; her relationship with Maddalena becomes increasingly intense, allowing her to go beyond, in some way, her world of memories of her deceased husband.
